Hey, it’s Michael from michaelrauscher.com,
I hope that you have been doing awesome!
Let me add some value to your life this week:
In my latest Medium story Six Harsh Truths About Setting and Pursuing Your Goals, I share six of the greatest mistakes I made while setting and pursuing my goals. Vanishing them from the beginning would have saved me a lot of time and needless pondering. I hope I can do that for you.
I’m currently writing about the extremely positive influence micro habits can have on our well-being and self-trust. William McRaven sums it all up in the first minute of his famous motivational speech. I guess it’s one of my most favorite speeches, so I hope you’ll check by!
Let’s do a round of self-discovery journaling to see how unique and special you truly are. I hope you grab a pen and paper for this one. Did you ever ask yourself the following question: If you could outgrow all your fears for one day, what three things would you like to do?
I remembered sitting on the floor and journaling while listening to lessons of Jim Rohn, an American entrepreneur, author, and motivational speaker (I did some “pre-Youtube search” for you here). One quote of him has etched in my mind. It reminds me of the fact, that every day counts. Every day you have the power to make a fresh decision to start over:
“Days are expensive. When you spend a day you have one less day to spend. So make sure you spend each one wisely.” – Jim Rohn
Here’s a small uplifting reminder directly from one of my Medium story about spending your days in happiness:
Staying in the present isn’t just a lofty ideal; it’s the only way to live a life without illusions. But it’s easier said than done. Human life has its challenges. There is yourself, your family, friends, work, your hobbies, your craft. A leap into the future won’t harm, because it can serve us with clarity, give us drive and necessity. Setting goals can drive passion in ourselves.
But one fact is unaffected:
The only way to take care of your future is by creating it right now.
I’m currently growing my Pinterest! If you’re on Pinterest as well, let’s get in touch, please write me a DM, and let’s support each other!
PS: I love to read, listen, watch content, and write about personal development and self-improvement daily. But I’m pretty sure your schedule is almost full already. Let me do the weekly personal growth research for you to save your time and add value to your life. I’ll give you only the essentials, promise!
Thank you for reading. Looking forward to seeing you next week!
Have a great smashing week ahead!
Checked out too, video from point 2; I had learnt to make my bed from a friend - the Queen of Worms - two, three years back. Have kept that habit ever since. A shoutout to quality friends. A great video nonetheless. Reminds self to better learn the lyrics to uplifting tunes if there ever be a need for a cohort rendition. Thanks again Michael! // and cheers for: The only way to take care of your future is by creating it right now.
Loving the reminder that days are expensive; and it's truly worthwhile of noting that the time we choose to spend with others and in turn, the time others have chosen to spend with us, is valuable and immeasurable in worth. Cherish the love we have, as the song goes.
"People choose to have you in their lives," as a friend once wrote. It's lovely how certain quotations sink in. Thanks Michael!
