Personal Growth Weekly #28
Hey, it’s Michael from michaelrauscher.com,
I hope you’re doing great! Let me add some value to your life. This week is all about setting and pursuing goals!
Actively pursuing goals is a superpower. However, sometimes it can be hard to consistently stick to them. In my story Six Harsh Truths About Setting and Pursuing Your Goals I unveil six misconceptions when pursuing goals.
Here’s #2: Having ambitions is a superpower, but stretching in too many different directions can be counterproductive. Since every one of us has a finite amount of time, we won’t achieve all our goals. We need to be mindful of our time and energy and pursue the vital goals first — and put the rest into our backlog and say a clear “No” to them for now, even when it’s tough to do so.
“Action expresses priorities.” — Mahatma Gandhi
If you sometimes don’t get into action mode, it’s ok. You just wanted to eat, breathe, sleep. But know when to start over again. Don’t wait for sudden inspiration. Get into action mode, even it is just a tiny task you tick. Let your small accomplishments be the accelerator pushing you to further progress.
“What’s simple to do is also simple not to do.” - Jim Rohn
Celebrate your gains, your results, and all the tiny checkboxes on your to-do list that you tick throughout the day. Reward yourself for the progress you’ve achieved even when it is just a confirming YES! you shout out loud.
