I hope you’re doing great! Let me add some value to your life this week:

  1. Life can be overwhelming, especially when you’ve gone (or you’re currently going) through life-changing times. Suddenly you’re in your new life, and so many parts are different from how they were before. Sometimes everything's going so fast you cannot even think clearly about what will happen next. In my latest Medium story, The Universe Expects You to Live a Happy Life I wrote a gentle reminder to make more time for the things that you love. Hope you’ll give it a read!

  2. Here’s your reminder: You made it to the here and now. Not everyone did. You don’t need to understand everything. In the end, it all will make sense. In the end, this will all matter.

  3. Every change and uncertainty, regardless of whether it’s tiny or huge, still triggers the fight or flight instinct, even if there’s no physical threat. In her book The Mountain Is YouBrianna Wiest describes this as “adjustment shock”:

    “It is scary to receive everything we want, because it forces us to shift out of a survivalist, fear-based mindset and into a more stabilized one. If all we are accustomed to is doing what we need to do to survive, we are then confronted with the next phases of our self-actualization.”

  4. The next week I want us all to:

    • make more time for the things that we love.

    • make more time for the things that let us be present.

    • make more time for the things that let us experience purpose.

    • make more time for the fun things that soothe us.

    • make life taste sweet, and never forget to have fun.
